Many public locations such as hotels require you to dial a digit to inform the switchboard you are dialing a number outside of the location. This digit will be different throughout the world.

Only in a few circumstances should you have to disable call waiting. The default setting will have call waiting disabled.

Most Internet connections throughout the world use tone dialing.

The area code rule is normal by default. A feature of iPassConnect is that it has intelligent 10 and 11 digit dialing in the US. For example, in the simulation, the user is dialing into a 301 area code (Silver Spring, Maryland), which requires 10 digit dialing. The client recognizes that since the user is dialing from Silver Spring; it automatically inserts the area code before the number.
